Trying to get this straight. Redbox requires you to return the DVD by 9 p.m. the day after you rented or you get charged an additional. So the trick is to rent as early in the day as possible to get the maximum rental time.
So if you rent at 12:01 a.m. Saturday Morning and return at 8:59 p.m. Sunday evening, you'll get nearly 45 hours of rental time.
Conversely the worst time to rent is just before midnight. So if you rent 11:59 p.m. Friday night, you'll have to return it at 9:00 pm. for a measly 21 hours of rental time, less than half than if you had waited a minute longer.
That's what it looks like to me anyway. Haven't actually tested this.
